  1. Donor Information

The Foundation collects and maintains the following types of donor information when you make a donation with us:

  •  Contact information, such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
    •    Giving information, such as gift date, gift amount, payment type, and referrer.
    •    Information on events attended, publications received and special requests for program information
    •    Information provided by the donor in the form of comments and suggestions

This information is kept on file for record keeping purposes. It is also used to analyze overall giving patterns in order to make more accurate budget projections, as well as to understand donors’ interests in our mission and to update them on the Foundation’s plans and activities. This information is shared with staff, board members, volunteers and consultants of the Foundation on a confidential and need-to-know basis.

  1. Privacy of Donors

 

In a manner consistent with the privacy policy, we respect and monitor the privacy of our online and offline donors. We make every effort to disclose donor information only as specifically instructed by the donor and in a manner consistent with his or her wishes, or as required by law. Cancerve Foundation may collect sensitive personal information, such as a donor’s credit card number, card type, expiration date, and keep a record of the financial transaction; however, Cancerve Foundation will not sell, trade, or share a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Some features on the website may require you to register as a user and to receive our authorization before you can use those particular features, including mailing lists, peer to peer fundraising campaign participation, grant applications, planned giving, online donations, and other services. While you may use some of the functionality of the Website without registration, specific tools and services on the Website require registration.

If you choose or are provided with a UsernamePassword or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential and you must not disclose it to any other person.  You are solely and fully responsible for all activities that occur under your Username or Password.  You agree that you shall monitor your account for use by minors and you will accept full responsibility for any unauthorized use of your Username or Password by minors.  You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your Username or Password or any other breach of security. You should use particular caution when accessing your account from a public or shared computer so that others are not able to access your account or view or record your Password or other personal information.  The Foundation has no control over the unauthorized use of any Username or Password and expressly disclaims any liability derived from such use.

By using the Website as a registered user you agree to maintain and promptly update the information you provide to the Foundation, and keep all such information accurate, current, and complete.   By using the Website, you accept all risks of unauthorized access to all information you provide to us.  You have sole responsibility for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Website, and ensuring that all persons who access the Website through your internet connection or device are aware of these Terms of Use and comply with them. You have sole responsibility for adequate protection and backup of data and/or equipment used in connection with the Website.

We have the right to disable any Username, Password or other identifier, whether chosen by you or provided by us, at any time if, in our opinion, you have violated any provision of these Terms of Use.  If you have access to the Website as a designated representative of a business, the Foundation may terminate your right to use the Website upon notification that you are no longer a designated representative for that business.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

We use Razorpay for processing payments. We/Razorpay do not store your card data on their servers. The data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) when processing payment. Your purchase transaction data is only used as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is not saved.

Our payment gateway adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
